On the bottom half of page 50 of the April 26th, 1963 operations report issued in advance of a May 7th, 1963 board meeting, the J.T. Baker Chemical Company issues an objective and a plan for the Brazil Project. The objective of the Brazil Project is to: "Establish our Brazil operations on a solid basis." The plan suggests a manufacturing operation in this expanding market based on local materials, and promises management and protection for the operation.
