Edward Mabry joined the Vick Chemical Company (today a subsidiary of Procter & Gamble), in 1916, after graduating from high school in Greensboro, N.C. He worked in accounting, sales and advertising. Mr. Mabry was named company president in 1948 and chairman in 1957. He retired in 1964 and later wrote 18 privately published books of poetry and sayings. He died at the age of 91.
